We purchased this putting green for my 7 year old son to practice on. The mat arrived rolled up in a large box that we saved for storage. The majority of the bottom has a non-slip grip so it stays put floors. The last 18″ of the green slowly inclines just over an inch. The mat easily unrolled and laid flat though there was an area of slight separation between the non-slip grip and incline foam padding that’ll need to be re-glued.

I was thinking of buying a piece of rug to put on my office hardwood floor to practice putting over the winter until I saw this. Lays flat, rolls up when the wife is around. Has a nice ledge on top and cups so the balls don’t go off the mat. I set it up with my electric ball returner and added some chalk lines to do drills. Length is ok for that. I’m using it to practice hitting the ball on line, not so much for speed.

Lays flat, rolls true–what more can you ask for?

This thing is brilliant. I’m on a quest to become a better putter in 2017, so I read the Pelz book and wanted a way to drill the concepts indoors. I looked at a bunch of putting mats, and I’m glad I bought this one. My main concerns going into the purchase: 1) does it roll true? 2) does it become creased/wrinkled or not roll out flat out of the box or after storage? 3) how does it match green speeds on the course. This thing rolled out dead flat right out of the shipping box, and putting it on hardwood I feel like it rolls just like the best greens I’ve played on. I took a Sharpie and marked increments at 1′, 2′, 3′, 4′, 5′, and 6′ to one of the holes, and it allows me to drill short putts and vary distance easily. If there’s a quibble, it’s that the holes don’t respond like regulation holes–it’s too easy to roll right through them. On short putts especially I want to put some steam on the ball rather than die it in the hole, but I’d rather have this set-up than enough of a ramp to allow a deeper cup. Unless you’re looking to practice longer putts indoors (and why would you–get outside!) this will do the trick.

Nice for the price…but….

The Item was shipped in its orginal box and suffered some damage to box during shipping. Not normally a big deal, but the box is how you store when not in use…so it is my opinion it should have shipped in another box. When taking it out of package, found the matt was really well rolled up…except for the last foot or so, that was folded and a crease was put in the matt??? 🙁 Anyone knows you cant have a crease in a putting matt. We have some heavy things on the mattt now trying to get the matt to sit flat that last foot or might work? Other than that the matt is cool, made well and was good entertainment and practice for my family. Would have given it a 5 star rating if the dumby who rolled it up to put it in the box didnt fold a crease in the last foot of the matt!

Great for the price

Bought this for my husband as he is an avid golfer. It’s very nice especially for the price. He has since upgraded, but we have kept the mat. Overall it’s very nice and if you’re looking for something reasonable this is absolutely worth getting. Just know there are better products on the market, but you’re also going to pay for it.

putt anywhere!

I tell ya I just love this product. Ive been looking for something to keep me active and break up the boredom…this product is great for one person or many people…it gets you up off the couch and back in the game…with the built in sand trap to catch the balls it gives this putters range an added bonus. This has been a great conversation piece in my household and I can even put it In front of the tv or in the hallway…totally recommend it.

Christmas gift for 23yr old Son. OMG! He loves it. Santa also brought him the xbox latest Gen(2016) with Kenix. but as soon as he opened this Golf green, he got his putter cleared enough space in the living room and went to town. Awesome! Gets lots of use, we challenge eachother and it kinda of created more father/son time.

Good purcase

Looking at the products available for indoor putting greens I was a little concerned by the negative reviews on this item. The number 1 selling item on amazon looks cool but has a significant ramp near the end which is not what I wanted. I wanted something as close to flat as possible to simulate a real green. This green does have additional foam near the ball cups so they can drop in but they’ve sloped it in a very gradual manner. It doesn’t act like a ramp at all and normal shots roll very smoothly. I’ve used this on both carpet and hardwood and it works great. I came close to spending way too much money on a birdieball mat and glad I didn’t. This meets my needs just fine! I also find the quality of the mat to be just fine. It’s grippy on the far end and has foam on the hole end. The surface looks and feels fine. This isn’t a 2″ thick green with custom stimps for pro golfers, just a very simple mat with cup holes to practice your putting.
