Solid Putting Green
I was in the market for a new putting green for the office since the old one was pretty beat up. I came across several fairly priced options, with the one most similar to the old putting green being listed here on Amazon as well. After reading the reviews, it gave me flash backs of the same problems we’d already have with the current green; it wrinkled up easily, the end of the green wouldn’t stay down for extended putts, and the felt material was cheap and creased up pretty easily.
I work in a large high pace sales environment so we got this for a little fun and stress reliever
I bought this for the office. I work in a large high pace sales environment so we got this for a little fun and stress reliever. We have had the product in the office few a few months and it gets a good amount of usage. It still works great and is fun for a little friendly competition. The ball return was a little slow so we added a little more slope to the high end and it’s perfect. We all got pretty good and where making the putt about 90% of the time so we added in a jump and other obstacles to mix it up. All and all it has been great fun and was well worth the price.
Incredibly Simple, but Incredibly Useful
I have been skeptical of these things, but I figured that instead of sitting on my butt during the Masters, why not get up and putt during the commercials? This thing is outstanding. I finally figured out that I was pushing all of my putts, and this proved it. The lines on the mat are ironically simple, but incredibly useful. If you are having problems with putting, you got to invest the money in this. I can’t wait to try out my new putting stroke on the real greens at the club now.
OK but mat needs help.
I have to agree with people that state the mat won’t lay flat. I put books on it nightly to flatten it out. It always pulls up in wrinkles after pressing it out at night. It do like the concept and use it daily.
It’s easy to set up and put away
This was a gift and he loves it. It’s easy to set up and put away, so it does not have to stay out. The lines are helpful to tell you how far to go back and then forward when putting a certain distance, and it is fun to use. Of course, all greens on golf courses have their own unique issues, but this is still fun and easy and gives you practice.
but everyone loved playing with this
This was purchased as a present for my father in law, but everyone loved playing with this! I’m sure it’s good practice for a golfer (I wouldn’t know, I don’t golf), but everyone else had fun playing with it as a skee ball type game!
Easy to set up
Easy to set up. I used a level to find a space that would give me a practice surface with no left or right tilts. I wanted to practice putting without the influence of uneven greens. To that effect, this practice putting green has been very helpful in establishing true aim. On actual greens there are always the factors of too much speed, too little speed, green irregularities, and misreads when trying to determine whether or not your aim was proper in the first place. It has helped to improve my putting stroke and has given me a little confidence that my misses may more likely be from misreads, rather than stroke errors as before.
Great for practicing putting swing!
This is a great living room putting green to practice your swing! We have competitions with grandparents vs grandkids and everyone enjoys it! We layed it on carpet and it lays straight and the ball return works great! The hole though is a bit large so to make it harder to get the ball in, I will need to make it smaller and closer to the actual size out in the field. Saw another reviewer with the same thought and used a cardboard to make the hole diameter smaller…I think I may try that as well!
