So let me start by saying I was torn between this product and the Orange Whip. I agonized over which one to go with. (I really didn’t want to purchase both of them.) I came away very happy with choosing the SKLZ Trainer.

I never leave home without it

Honestly I was very skeptical and didn’t expect a whole lot. I bought this for one reason and one reason only: A couple of weeks before buying this I pulled my rhombus? muscle in my upper back. The pain was significant and while just swinging a club didn’t cause a great deal of pain acutally hitting balls was just two painful. I mostly bought this as a low impact way to rehab my back and keep my pulled muscle stretched out while healing.

It helped me, it could help you

I have the trainer for about 2 weeks now. I have been using it in my backyard a couple times a day. I am 60 years old in great shape but I’ve lost a lot of flexabilty; the Gold Flex really helps with this and has increased my range of motion on the back swing. I also live near a driving range and go there about 3 times a week. The first few times I went there after using Gold Flex I was a bit frustrated; I had some improvement, a little more distance and better follow through, but nothing major. Then yesterday at the range I took my driver, setup, relaxed and specifically tried to emulate that backswing I used with the Gold Flex. I connected, and holy smokes, the ball went sailing about 270 yards, and I was only hitting 230 yards when I conneced before. I teed up another ball and right up the middle, then 2 more, all at least 270 yards and dead straight or with a slight fade. All summer I have been going to the range and hadn’t been able to drive further than 230 yards, but within a couple of weeks with this product I was able to put together a pretty decent swing. For me it was all about that transition at the top off the swing, and keeping the right temp to generate that lag. I’m not writing this review to brag, I people hit i way further than me. I writing it because I thing it is a great product and may be able to help another frustrated old golfer if you are willing to put he time and thouht into it.

A Great Investment

I use this trainer to warm-up. Starting with just rolling my wrists, then adding my arms, then a fuller swing to get my pelvis/legs in motion and finally a full on swing. I imagine a ball on the tee when I am at the practice range and swing just nicking the tee. It has taught me about the lag between the back swing and down swing. It is at this point when I engage my hips in the swing. I carry this in my bag and bring it out prior to using driver (but not all the time). I bought the longer size. I notice some golfer taking two or three clubs out of their bag and swing them all at once to warm up. I prefer to use the trainer instead.

A great golf investment

Read the reviews for the Orange Whip and SKLZ Gold Flex before purchasing. Many who owned both preferred this one. I purchased it to help me with my tempo, not necessarily distance. What I have found is my accuracy has improved substantially, and I have gained some additional yardage. I have a few other swing training aids, and this is hands down the very best I have used. Helps strength, timing, swing path, finish and is a very nice warm-up tool. Have recommended to friends at my club. I think it will be a great ally in the winter months as well.

A must have for the bag.

Awesome product. My usual course doesn’t have a range and I usually head straight to the first hole without not a lot of warm up. Now I use this for a few swings prior and since I’ve hit the 200 yard pat 3 green almost every time since.

Viable for any level of golfer.

Excellent! I bought this to keep a fluid swing tempo in the off season here in Washington. When I am unable to hit the range, this is perfect to swing while watching some TV to keep loose and keep that good head lag swing tempo. I love it.

Excellent Product

This is an excellent golf-training aid. Though it is less expensive than a similar product, it doesn’t sacrifice anything. It’s winter time in New York, and since it was in the mid-40’s today, I chose to go to the driving range. When I started, I was the only one there. (By the time I was finished, one other golfer was there.) I warmed up by stretching and taking ten swings with the SKLZ Golf Flex Trainer. To my pleasant surprise, I hit the ball as if I were in mid-season form. I could not have been more pleased. It helps loosen the body up, as well as helping with your tempo. It’s a permanent fixture in my golf bag. Excellent product.

Good training device!

This is a good product to loosen up before a round of golf or for practicing in your space time at home. It will help you work on your swing and it will also help you build up the muscles used in your golf swing. I haven’t found a better training aide to this point. I would recommend this product.
